Home :: Stuff :: GW and His Big Mouth

Thursday August 7, 2008

Rarely I will speak out on politics and such, but G-Dub’s timing is so bad on this one I had to say something about it. First thing, a little background info on what came out of his mouth today: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/07/bush.china.olympics/index.html.

Now, it’s one day before the Olympic Games. This is an event where all politics are set aside for some good old spirit of competition for the great athletes from all over the globe and one of the few bright spot left in the world today.

But our very own G-Dub has to open his big mouth and diss the host country, China, and creates this tension right before the opening ceremony. Sure, I don’t like what the Chinese Government does sometimes, but such is growing pains for a society going under a huge transformation.

Well, G-Dub, you should have at least kept your big mouth shut until after the games and let the athletes have their moment. if I can help it, you’d keep your mouth shut until next January.

I hope your father smacks your sorry behind when you get back home.

Home :: Kids :: The Main Event

Monday August 4, 2008

By the end of the week, the world will be huddling around the TV to watch the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Even his Majesty Major Daley is there.

However, the main event around here would be the 1st big birthday for my baby boy Matthieu.

Let the fun begin. :)
